About Better Home Products
Better Home Products was founded in 1994 to focus on supplying our own brand of decorative and functional hardware products to the residential and multifamily new-construction industry.
Our product focus is in three primary categories: Locksets, Bathroom Accessories and Misc. Door and Closet Hardware items. Most of our products fall into the price range of entry level to midrange in cost.
We employ a total of 42 people in 2 different locations. Our primary office and Western US distribution center (37,000 square feet) is in South San Francisco, CA. All dealer shipments west of the the Rocky Mountains ship from this facility.
We have also just recently purchased a 570,000 square foot warehouse in Arlington,TX. This facility ships all dealer shipments east of the Rocky Mountains. Our same-day shipping service from both locations have enabled our dealers to provide any and all of our products to builders just-in-time, including a wide assortment of specialty finish products.
LOCKSET PROGRAM WARRANTY
Lifetime Mechanical Warranty – All our Grade III residential locksets are designed to function a minimum of 200,000 times during the life of the product. Better Home Products lockset collections are warranted to be free of manufacturer’s defects for life. This includes all moving and stationary parts of the mechanism.
Finish Warranty – Normal finish locksets, Chrome Finish, Polished Brass finish and Satin Nickel finish (CH, PB and SN/DC suffix item numbers) have a protective coating, designed to preserve the original product’s color and appearance, and are warranted for a period of 5 years, under normal residential use, to the original residential user. Specialty finish locksets, Matte Black finish, Dark Bronze finish and Satin Brass finish (BLK,DB and SB suffix item numbers) also have a protective coating, but these specialty finish products only have a 1 year finish warranty, under normal residential use, to the original residential user.
Warranty Limitations – Mechanical and finish warranties cover only the original residential user as long as they occupy the residence, up to the expiration of the applicable warranty period. Warranties do not cover misuse, or the use of residential Grade-lll locksets in commercial applications. Also not covered is abuse, scratching, or denting of the products. Finish warranty does not cover tarnishing caused by the use of paints, cleaning chemicals or other solvents that should not touch the product and may dissolve the protective coating. Warranties are limited to the repair or replacement of the product or refund of its cost, at our option. Warranties specifically do not cover any other related costs or installation labor
